Amazon Posts 11% Rise in Revenue as Growth Improves

Amazon's cost-cutting efforts may be paying off. Amazon's growth isn't as explosive as it was in the past, but they did beat Wall Street expectations last Thursday.

The retailer reported that revenue in the second quarter increased by 11 percent, to $134.4 Billion, a higher rate than its recent 9 percent. This was approximately $3 billion higher than what analysts were expecting.
