SEOUL, South Korea - South Korea reports that North Korea launched a missile towards the eastern waters of the North.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea has confirmed that the launch took place on Wednesday morning, but provided no other details.
The reported launch comes a day after North Korea warned of'shocking consequences' to protest what they called an American spy plane's activity near their territory.
The United States, South Korea and Japan dismissed the North’s accusations. They urged them to refrain from acts or rhetoric which could incite animosity.
