A young child accidentally broke a 3,500-year-old Bronze Age jar on display at an archaeological museum in Haifa, Israel. The artifact was found near the museum entrance without any protective glass. The museum defended its decision to present certain objects without obstructions, noting its founder’s emphasis on accessibility. The child’s father explained that his son was curious about what was inside and pulled the jar slightly, resulting in its breakage. The jar, believed to date back to 2200 BC - 1500 BC, would have been used for storing liquids. The museum plans to restore the jar and continue its tradition of accessible displays.
