At 58 meters tall, the St. Pauli bunker in Hamburg, Germany, has been a prominent structure for over 80 years. Originally built during Hitler’s regime using forced labor, the bunker has now been transformed into a modern hub. It houses two restaurants, a five-story Hard Rock Hotel, and a rooftop bar with a garden. The REVERB by Hard Rock offers various room options, including suites with city views. The bunker also features amenities such as self check-in and co-working spaces. The ground level has a coffee shop and bar, while the upper levels house bars and a restaurant. The top floor is home to a roof garden open to the public. The bunker is one of eight flak towers built in response to British air raids during World War II. Efforts have been made to incorporate greenspace into the structure, adding a peaceful aspect to its history. An exhibition on the first floor provides a comprehensive account of the building’s past.
