Playing safe is not an option for a wildlife photographer who has spent the past two decades capturing images of African wildlife. The photographer does not use bait, camera traps, digital manipulation, captive-bred animals, or drones. Instead, he relies on his Nikon camera, natural light, and patience. His work has earned him international acclaim, with awards such as Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 2013. He aims to convey the message that there are still incredible wildernesses in Africa that need to be preserved and conserved. He believes that wildlife photography in Africa is unique because of the energy, mystery, and vastness of the continent. Despite the challenges and discomfort, the photographer is passionate about capturing animals in their natural habitats.
