Turkey’s Inflation Rises in April

Turkey’s inflation reached an annual rate of 69.8% in April, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute. The highest consumer price increases were seen in education, with a jump of 103.86%, followed by hotels, cafes, and restaurants with an increase of 95.82%. On a monthly basis, inflation increased by 3.18%, mainly driven by price rises in alcoholic beverages and tobacco, as well as hotels, cafes, and restaurants.
