·1 min
For over a century, the wreck of a British warship lay undiscovered on the seabed, a casualty of World War I. Recently, specialist divers from Lost In Waters Deep claim to have found the wreck of the HMS Hawke off the coast of Scotland. The ship, which sank in October 1914, lies on its starboard side. The guns on board are remarkably well-preserved. It is believed that the ship’s ammunition exploded, resulting in the deaths of 524 sailors, including cadets as young as 14 years old. Based on evidence gathered, the divers are confident that they have found the HMS Hawke.
