UAW says ‘more to be won' despite record offers from automakers; declines to expand strikes
General Motors, Ford Motor and Stellantis have offered proposals that include 23% hourly pay increases during the terms of the four and a half-year deal.

Fain stated during a broadcast online that there was more to be gained. "These contracts are record contracts but they come after decades of record decline. It's not good enough to be the greatest ever when auto workers are going backwards in the last 20 years. Fain announced last week that the union would be entering a new phase of contract negotiations and strikes. The UAW's "stand-up" strikes, which are targeted at specific plants and generate $25 billion annually in revenue, have been stepped up to a new level with the strike in Ford's Kentucky factory.
