Zelensky's Berlin Trip Heralds Thaw in Relationship With Germany

BERLIN -- Ukraine's President landed in Germany Sunday for the first visit since Russia attacked Ukraine in 2014. It is a sign of thawing relations between Kyiv, its largest military and financial supporter in Europe, and Russia.

Volodymyr Zelensky was to meet German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Volodymyr Zelensky will travel to Aachen in Germany's west to receive an award for his contribution towards European unity.
